Een eerbetoon aan het maanavontuur
Meer dan zeventig jaar na de publicatie van Raket naar de Maan (1953) en Mannen op de Maan
(1954) blijft de raket met het rood-witte ruitjespatroon een van de meest krachtige beelden uit de
Europese stripwereld. Als blijvend symbool van persoonlijke ambitie en grenzeloze verbeelding
biedt Tintinimaginatio er vandaag een nieuwe interpretatie van, in de vorm van een wandklok die
bestemd is voor de interieurs van verzamelaars, designliefhebbers en fans van het werk van
Hergé.
De raket, getrouw gereproduceerd naar de originele tekening, doorkruist de wijzerplaat van de 7-uurpositie naar de 1-uurpositie en neemt de ruimte in beslag door de uurmarkeringen op deze posities te verbergen. Hij siert de klok niet: hij bewoont hem. De secondewijzer blijft
daarentegen klassiek — trouw aan de door de ontwerpers nagestreefde soberheid en
leesbaarheid.
Een verzamelobject ontworpen als een uurwerk.
De Tintin-maanklok ontleent verschillende kenmerken aan de hoogwaardige uurwerkindustrie:
• Volledig stalen kast (Ø 35 cm, 1,7 kg), garant voor een duurzame afwerking en een opvallende aanwezigheid aan de muur.
• Wijzerplaat van geborsteld aluminium met reliëfcijfers — een afwerking die zeldzaam is bij
wandklokken en doorgaans voorbehouden is aan polshorloges.
• Kleine secondewijzer, excentrisch geplaatst op een fysiek gescheiden wijzerplaat op een
tweede niveau: een directe verwijzing naar de haute horlogerie, die diepte en een gelaagde
weergave van de tijd biedt.
• Stil quartz uurwerk met continue secondewijzer — geen tikkend geluid, om de rust in huis te
bewaren.

Op de achterkant van de klok gaat het avontuur verder. Tegen een zwarte metalen achtergrond toont de beroemde afbeelding van het maanlandschap de raket die op het maanoppervlak is geland. Op de wijzerplaat stijgt de raket op; op de achterkant is hij op de maan geland. Een dynamische knipoog naar de tijd die verstrijkt en dromen werkelijkheid maakt — want het kost tijd om je doelen te bereiken, en dat is precies wat de klok vertelt.
Een verwijderbaar paneel geeft toegang tot het serienummer en de twee quartzmodules.

Tribute to the moon adventure
More than seventy years after the publication of Rocket to the Moon (1953) and Men on the Moon (1954), the rocket with the red and white checkered pattern remains one of the most powerful images in the
European comic world. As an enduring symbol of personal ambition and boundless imagination,
Tintinimaginatio offers a new interpretation of it today, in the form of a wall clock intended
for the interiors of collectors, design enthusiasts, and fans of
Hergé's work.
The rocket, faithfully reproduced from the original drawing, crosses the dial from the 7 o'clock position to the 1 o'clock position and occupies the space by concealing the hour markers at these positions. It does not merely adorn the clock: it inhabits it.
The second hand, on the other hand, remains
classic — true to the sobriety and
readability sought by the designers.

A collector's item designed like a timepiece. The Tintin moon clock derives several features from the high-end watchmaking industry:

• steeAll-l case (Ø 35 cm, 1.7 kg), guaranteeing a durable finish and a striking presence on the wall.

• Brushed aluminium dial with embossed numerals — a finish rare among wall clocks and usually reserved for wristwatches.

• Small seconds hand, eccentrically placed on a physically separated dial on a second level: a direct reference to haute horlogerie, offering depth and a layered display of time.

• Silent quartz movement with continuous seconds hand — no ticking sound, to preserve peace in the home.

On the back of the clock, the adventure continues. Against a black metal background, the famous image of the lunar landscape shows the rocket that has landed on the lunar surface. A removable panel provides access to the serial number and the two quartz modules.
